^ This is much more evident in Stan Wolperts Book. She was also very good friends with Kanji, and she once told him that she tried to generate jinnah's interest in sorcery, mysticism too, but failed.
By the mid 22, Jinnah was facing extreme political isolation and he worked long hours and thats when it started and she was only 25 at that time. When she passed away, and was buried, Jinnah stood there like a rock, but then for a few seconds he wept, and his friends, most notably Justice Chagla said that was the only time they saw an outurst of a human emotion associated to weakness.
This book should be very interesting...
