Well telling a lie is a sin but if it protects agianst a greater sin then it's a rare case of two wrongs making a right.

^ what makes you think that?

No what I mean is for example you were not at an event in which an incident allegedly occured but you know one of the people being held under arrest as a suspect… you can then if you in your heart believe that person to be innocent Lie on his part and say you saw nothing untoward… it has been done before and if it means your saving a life or covering up someones slight crime to prevent a greater crime e’g miscaraige of justice then it’s fine.

If someone was sick and wanted me to marry them… then I would not lie and if I thought they were to recover by me saying yes then to save a life offcourse I would say yes… My wife might kill me but in defence I could always say I am allowed 4 so 2 more to go… :champ:

So long as the illness was not mental and that person was sincere in thier request why not? Even a long term illness cannot come between love and if anything in life I have learned love is more powerfull than any nation or army so who am I to stand in it’s way…
