what did the prophet say about the strength in character shown by controlling one's temper.

We have too many jazbaati people who will fight, die, argue for Islam, without bothering to follow the basic priniciples of it.

Falwell is an idiot and his apology is just as lame as his comments but we can explain to our friends why remarks like these upset us. One of my colleagues asked why this was a big deal and I just explained it.

Public outroar is understandable. I recall the sequence of events arounf Madonna's "like a pryaer video" and her being dumped as pepsi spokesperson as well the the trouble in california after the "last temptation of christ" was shown.

In some cases I had to give examples, apologizing in advance to the listener, about how ppl can say anything about any figure. And they understood.

No, but our esteemed religous leaders have called for the death of every kuffar and the deaths of American civillians. They have even gone as far to do this. How many Muslims has Falwell killed? How many fatwas has he issued for death to Muslims?

Use your head and you will see through the emotional overreaction of Muslims over stupid things. We are not worried about the Muslims who have no food but we are ready to give our lives for Palestine. This is all a big drama for Mullahs.
