Re: Jeans for Muslims

"CLoth is above religion" im not sure hwat u mean by that..

i opened a thread awhile ago abt "Islamic clothing" coz I had read this fatwa online that said anyone who worked in a clothing store that sold typical western clothing was earning haram money coz those clothes r unislamic.. i personally think ther'es no such thing as "Islamic clothing:.. theres clothes that will show ure Muslim but the idea that clothin, fabric, threads, inanimate object, has a "religion" is really stupid and if ppl believe that well thas really pathetic..

Re: Jeans for Muslims

I agree with you sara, well you explained what I meant cloth is above religion. If you are convinced don't think much about what the bigots think.

Re: Jeans for Muslims

Clothes and religion are two seperate things and shouldn't be confused with each other.

Re: Jeans for Muslims

Very true nikki btw saari is a graceful dress.

Re: Jeans for Muslims

Islam only says your clothing should be modest (it defines what modest is but I don't want to start a debate on that here), men should wear their garments above the ankles and it should not be clothing advocated by other religions such as a vicars dog collar, a Hindu womans forehead dot or marriage necklace (mangalasomething) or sindhoor (red powder they put in their hair parting), or a Sikh kara (bangle).

Other than that you can wear any clothes associated with your culture, saari if you are gujrati (obviously the under garment should be long enough to cover your stomach, back and arms), skirt or pants if you are enghlish, doti if you are punjabi.

Re: Jeans for Muslims

Why dont you become an Islamic dress designer you seem to have a good Idea what muslims should wear. You will earn good money.Junaid Jumshaid the ex-popstar now turned tablighi is making good money but most of his dresses are western and costly.
You better be a good designer of affordable muslim clothes.

Re: Jeans for Muslims

Baggy, huge pockets, green seems and probably the denim, to keep with the low price tag, will be unwashed and thick. Can anything be uglier? It's an insult to muslims.
