jackson heights is a VERY desi place in Queens, NY. small allies, no parking, small shops, restaurants, paan waala, mithai wala, etc etc. congested place with street/row homes. if you recall Bilquis Kaur on Hum tv, i think that was also shown in the similar area, if not the same.
