but i have to say this, some of our more impressionable brethren have fallen for this and now wear quwaal-esque sherwanis etc. poor guys suffer the same fate as the ladies ;D

X2, not all desi women buy desi designer clothes or wear makeup all the time. I am one of them and i am sure as heck not the only one. It feels great to be a woman that cares about more important things than shopping- not that shopping isn’t fun.

yeah but i have seen way too many examples where desi lady looks like ghost face killah but neck and arms look like aunt jemima.
desi events, heavy clothing, heavy layers of makeup and being in front of video cameras and those lights, some ladies actually seems like they are melting away.

yeah its the stuff you put on the walls before you apply a layer of paint. for more damaged walls u may need to use fillers and plaster etc.
i think if you look deep enough all home building suppliers and cosmetics companies have the same factories, some stuff comes in big cans and goes to hardware stores, other comes in small jars and goes to beauty supply stores.
i bet the company that makes roofing shingles makes eyelash and hair extensions too.

i have not started on desi guys yet, its a whole diff thread but desi guys can use some individuality. i don’t understand why more than half the desi guys who have glasses are wearing almost the same damn frame at any given time, and whats with the mustache…did the entire race buy it wholesale…some variety would be nice.
but thats a whole diff issue.
speaking of women, long standing joke between begum and myself, she always wants to go buy comfortable shoes, and comes back with pretty sandals 
to a point now when she says oh i need to get some comfy shoes I just look at her and we both burst out laughing. although she does rock some chuck taylors to kick back in now
