Re: It’s 'er twindoors in India

In a country where the rate of female infanticide is higher than anywhere else? Err yeah they DID run outta girls.

Re: It's 'er twindoors in India

Its probably got nothing to do with shortage of girls, its just weird behaviour in eyes of the majority. The practice of having one wife for all the men of a house, i.e. one woman for all the brothers, is the accepted norm in some part of tibet and a while ago there was also a thread talking about this practice amongst some sikhs. I wouldn't be surprised if it got locked up though, i'll see if i can find it.

Re: It's 'er twindoors in India

well, i think that people can do WHATEVER they like..still marrying more than once when still in a matrimonial tie with another is just SICK watsoever even if Religion alwoys that!
but if all are willing, then they can go ahead.
and such things not neccessarily happen in India only.

Re: It’s 'er twindoors in India

yep, this is abnormal, obviously not accepted as common practice!
anyway i thought indian law considers bigamy a criminal offence (for hindus), so i’m curious how this was allowed to happen.

a few months back i’d read of an indonesian man who married twin sisters as he’d fallen in love with both. here’s that article.
