Ansoon and ALlah ka banda pretty much said it.
Istikhara is not saying a dua and then doing faal like systems. All you need to do is do your best in finding the best solution to your problem. And also meanwhile, do a 2 rakat nafal and ask Allah for guidance, and pray that if it is in your best interest, it should happen and if not, then may Allah guide you to the best.
Istikahra is not a magic answer to problems like people make it out to be.
