*On a clear day that promised much but delivered little, the dismissal of Satyajit Parab sent the crowd into raptures. Mohammad Kaif walked out to take guard and his contest with Mohammad Sami was the only battle of interest in this practice game where the players have spent more time playing under-arm tennis ball cricket indoors than with the leather cherry.
The first ball from Sami was dispatched to the boundary — a delectable flick then a flowing on drive, followed by a cut shot. The battle had been won and Sami was taken out of the attack.
Sami has for long been the fast bowling hope for Pakistan after Shoaib Akhtar but has done little to justify it. The problem with him, says a team member, is that he tries too much for raw pace and loses out on the essential ingredient of swing from his bowling.

The only viable explanation that i can come up with regarding Youhana's demotion and Younis Khan's promotion, in youhana's own words, is that it will relieve some tension off youhana's shoulders and therefore he can concentrate more on his batting.

So much for practice.
DS Jadhav (LHB) Runs 49 *Balls 113 *<-- This is kinda what our batsmen should be aiming to achieve.. as well as accumulating singles, they need to make sure they stay out there for atleast a day and half per innings. In our batting innings, no one stayed on the crease that long. The maximum number of balls faced was 82 by Abdul Razzaq which is far less than 113.

I see a glimer of hope in Taufeeq Umer’s knock - a true ‘test match prep’ innings.
With out Shoaib akhter and Sami’s better form the bowling effectiveness will be
quite similar to the one we saw in this warm up game, Poor.
There are reasons quite clearly indicating a dull test matche series ahead.
I hope I’m wrong
