That's something he has to do. Pakistani diplomats do that all the time when they meet with Israeli diplomats. It's a way to keep the public in thier interest.

He's a liar. It is more important for him to please his extremist supporters than to tell the truth. To lie about a action that was nothing more than a humane gesture during a memorial service is shameful and says a lot about his character.

Well Iran is already accepted and very respected in the world of nations. Just because Israel and USA don't say so, doesn't make it so. Iran is hardly an isolated country, much like you wish it to be. To lie about such things is called politics, it's done all the time. Get used to it and stop whining about it.

Iran is an isolated nation. They are a state sponsor of terrorism. They aren’t cooperating with the world on the development of their nuclear program. They are an authoritarian regimes ripe with human rights abuses.
