This is bull****! i tell you all. Isreal never deliberately demolished mosque. No wonder so much propaganda goes around and poisons the mind of ordinary peace loving human beings. Being member of isreali army i once volunteered to guard mosque against jewish extremists in Bethlam.

Equating Israelis to Palestinians in particular and Arabs in general is a moot point. We are talking about Gaza and the its contol. Palestinians have been begging / fighting / pleading etc. to gain self control of this area. Now that they got what they wanted, they must prove to be dependable and trustworthy. The more chaos they create in the area, the more they will lose the support of the world.

Abu Mazan seems to be totally unprepared for this huge event in Palestinian history. He should have coordinated with Egyptians and Israelis to make sure everything goes OK. He chickened out in the flag lowering and raising ceremony. There should have been a strong presense of Palestinian police and officials at the hour when Israelis left Gaza.

Looting, burning, of its own areas, and violation of its own borders is not what a nation does immediately after its freedom.

I hope Palestinians are successful. Chances are slim however.

That is a point, and I’d like to hear Israeligirl’s response.

Sheikh Yaseen was incapable of moving below the neck. He was the ideological leader of Hamas, but from the media reports, was not involved in the operational side of Hamas’s activities other than being on of several scholars, within and without the former British colonial territory of Palestine, that Hamas depended onto provide religious justification for their bombing campaign agaist Israel.

In short, he provided some of the ideas for Hamas, and for mere ideas he was killed?

At any rate, I’m sure that Sheikh Yaseen is absolutely delighted at the manner of his death, and given the choice between being killed by Israel and his imminent death from old age, I’m also sure he would have preferred the former. In a way, Israel did him a favour.
