This news agency is quoting AFP ...... it is not that it is from their own bureau ..... but i haven't seen any news from AFP on any of their websites ..... hence my reference to AFP. Hope you do understand now!!

Here in canada, Canwest inc, distributes the news to all channels. It gets the news from AFP. It doesn't have to be on AFP's website, you can call their headquarters or their offices in almost every country.
Not all news is reported on their websites, others are channeled through local media.
If something makes headlines in another country, and not on the news giants in North America, it doesn't mean its less credible.
