The main problem is that US is in Iraq and though it can launch devastating attacks against Iran to wipe it out [hence iran isn't very aggressive in its stance], the iranis can also activate the badr [bigger] and sadr armies [some say sadr is more nationalist? but he still is irani influenced] to play havoc with the US supply lines which are unprotected compared to the tanks and APCs that US uses on front lines.
I prolly think that a deal has already been struck with iran. US isn't that stupid like bush and neocons to attack iran now. Maybe, bush will give a parting gift by attacking iran but it will make a mess in middle east and the next hillary administration. Also, after november next year, the incumbing candidate will have a say in what happens in the bush administration.
PS The "iraqi security forces" that are being trained by america have been accused by the US of having dual loyalties and I think iran will find great success if it is able to use this FIFTH COLUMN that has been trained in US weapons and tactics!!!!!!!!!
