Re: Isn’t the difference obvious…
Yes, obviously they’re black, some are lighter shade of black than others, and all have curley hair, but their features are distinct to a certain region. They look different. Are you telling me Somalians look the same as Africans from other regions. What would you say about North Africans?
Re: Isn’t the difference obvious…
Fret wizard..they look different, surely not!!!![]()
actually Im teasing you
yes I know the quite a few of the racial and physical differences between different african races and tribes, the small noses and quick crazy tembers of Somalis, the lean muscular types of certain tribes in Kenya, pygmies, Afrikaans of south africa, and the variety of peopel from northern Africa inculding the decendants of Irish slaves in algeria
however a certain Mrs Malik and her friends that I know inform me in no uncertain terms that they all look the same:cb:

Re: Isn’t the difference obvious…

someone speaking some sense here
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
muslim and hindu punjabis look same on both sides of the borders sikhs( not all) look different from punjabi hindus and muslims they have better features and heights and lighter complexion but overall look like other punjabis.
Sindhis are close to gujratis and rajisthanis but many sindhis have baloch ancestry so they also resemble balochs as well.By the way aghas of sindh are of afghan origin.
No one looks like the pakhtuns of NWFP and balochs in India.
People from South India are different and are more like srilankans than pakistanis
Bengal orissa are like bangladesh(so they were like pakistanis)
urdu speaking of urban sindh look similar to the people UP CP bihar etc but some urdu speaking too have arab or iranian descent.
North East india is like china nepal bhutan
Pakistan can be compared to north India but if you ask some european or african guy he would not be able to tell the difference between let say Rahul dravid from bangalore or shoaib malik from sialkot.
P.S
why we muslims are in a complex that indians are of dark and we are of a lighter complexion??

Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
Some of them are petite, modest, have beautiful skin and eyes with matching intellect that can put your average north indian/pakis to shame.
So, yes, indians are different from us. They are generally smarter than us.
In general, and I know most people won't admit it, but light skinned does = better looking if all other things are equal. Its just a fact, I think. Light skin is more pleasant to the eyes.
As far as South India is concerned, I think there is not one person there that can call themselves beautiful. But again this is just what I think and feel.
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
The whole concept of beauty is very subjective, I think.
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
Anil bhai, welcome aboard. My name is Richardson Vikramasinghe and I look forward to a very positive interaction with you here. As for as Indian/Pakistani appearances are concerned, unless you're some some kind of anthropologist or geneticist, people usually consider it immature to talk about minute differences in skin tone or physique, especially when it is done to make one look better or worse than the other. The concept of beauty is subjective, and an ugly mind can render the most beautiful body repulsive to people who value beautiful minds. And as I pointed out in my previous post, appearances are ususally deceptive.
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
Sure Anil. I mean, look at the pakistani cricket team, sure as hell don't represent the average pakistani Adonis. Maybe all of them have been imported from India, or better yet, Sri Lanka?
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
The dominant cultures in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives are quite closely related and the difference is religion.
South Asia is racially a very diverse region, it's people are a mixture of many different races so even within the same country you'll get people who look differernt and a lot of the times resemble people from neighbouring countries more than their fellow countrymen.
I tend to find Sindhis and Urdu speaking people look a lot like Gujaratis, whilst Punjabis look like Sikhs, Indian Hindu Kashmiri Pundits tend to look very typically Pakistani, Hindu Punjabis look like Pakistanis as well, they have the typical nose common across certain northern most parts of the Subcontinent.
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
If you think guys like Younis Khan, Salman Butt, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Asif, Inzi (w/o the beard) look like indians or better yet sri lankans, you really need to go to an optomatrist.
Also names from the past: Imran Khan Sahaab, Wasim Akram...
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
Shahid Afridi got imported from heaven, I agree. Rest are so not what you are trying to make them look like. Face it.
Now stop trolling.

FOB alert!!!
Dude complexion of Punjabis and Sindhis is the same as that of north Indians with minor variations, nothing wrong with that it's sexy to be dark.
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
HAH!!!!!!!
Re: Isn't the difference obvious...
Seems like alot of the members on this forum are getting offended when there is no apparent reason.
I just posted my feelings on the topic but some people have taken it to their heart.
I'll just summarize my ideas again:
1) I feel in general, that there is a distinct difference between people from the two countries. The difference could be observed through physical features (eg. skin tone) or through language (urdu phrases vs. hindi phrases).
2) Personally speaking, I find people with a lighter shade of brown (almost white but not quite) to be more attractive than a person with a dark brown complexion. Again, there is nothing wrong in being dark brown because we are all Allah's creation and as such we are beautiful in our own way. With that being said, however, we are entiltled to have our own opinion.
From my experience, 8 times out of 10 I could tell the difference between two people who are from the countries.
Anyway, hope everyone is happy and satisfied with this post.
Thanks and Allah hafiz
