Most agree. Although, I have to say India is not a failed nation and the way India has attracted global presence and acceptance is phenomenal. I dont think its fair to equate India and Pakistan but I get your general point.

About ISI and Army, its about time there is accountability, I want to know why was’nt I taught about Asal Uttar battle but Chawinda was written in every text book, why pointing fingers at Bengalies but no discussion of Operation search light in text books. After winning Kargil, India still punished officers that were found didnt do their job, in Pakistan, not a single case of accountability against generals. How come Air force and Navy were not informed, how come most of army didnt know, how come 2 generals decided and thought India will not react the way they did, If they went to war WITHOUT asking Nawaz, how come they Came back as a result of Nawaz ? Why not be critical here.

How come another country’s special forces come in to Garrison city and find worlds most wanted man living with in walking distance of military academy. If nothing else, there should have heads rolled for this gross incompetence, but NO.

What was that haramzada Colonel doing in NAB court when Interior Minister was not allowed by haramzaday ranger who Report to him ?

Is it that Army are higher cast and Civilians are lower cast ? is it that there is a class of untouchables and than there is every one else. If yes, just say so and than why do we need this country ? Why not break in to few smaller countries that can govern themselves better. Is it army for country or country for army ? 70 years show the latter.

I grew up as a proud Pakistani but truth be told I am becoming a proud Punjabi when I see the vote I casted after flying 22 hour is disrespected by 5 prostitutes in a way that the law is raped by the very prostitutes who are suppose to up held it, I honestly do think, its time to stand up or simply agree that this bloody Army is here to rule us and we should look for other ways.

Failure of institutions in Pakistan imply failure of state. But this failure exists generally in the whole of developing world including India. In other words, Pakistan is a failed state as much as India is a failed state. Both of them failed to give peace, security and prosperity to their people. Reasons are many; a few of them that I can think of include (a) general laziness, work-shyness (b) lack of nationhood and lack of ideology (c) prevalence of social evils (d) corrupt leadership (e) weak education system etc.

I’ll give examples of two people; Chinese/Japanese and Germans. Both of them were devastated after the great wars or revolution, but now they are great powers. One thing is common in both of them. They are one nation. In China, or Japan, if I’m not wrong they are all Chinese or Japanese. In Germany they are all Germans and they are proud of their nationhood.

Dilemma with Pakistan and India is they both are a mix of various ethnicity, uniting them all is not easy. That’s why despite lip service, neither Indians are proud of being Indians nor Pakistanis are proud Pakistanis. India is not giving prosperity to its people, Pakistan is also denying this to its people.

In Pakistan, people are proud Pashtoons, proud Punjabis, proud Sindhis, proud Baloch and blah blah. These people are not proud Pakistanis (regardless of their claims to be patriotic) because Pakistan doesn’t give them what America gives to her people.

This failure happened because in 1947, we built a country but couldn’t build a nation. In 23 years we broke this country because it hadn’t become a nation. After 1971, we found it really hard to unite the leftover Sindhis, Baloch, Pashtoons with Punjabis because there had been secessionist movements in Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP (KP) to imply further breakup of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s armed forces played the most important role in this crime against Pakistan by not letting this country become a nation. Since the assassination of Liaquat Ali Khan in 1951, a mafia under Gen. Ayub Khan maneuvered politics and promoted instability. Finally in 1958, armed forces took over Pakistan and in the name of enmity towards India and in the name of Kashmir, they served their new white masters in the US which didn’t support the brown skinned Punjabi-Pakhtoon army in 1965 and in 1971. I’ve used the phrase ‘Punjabi-Pakhtoon army’ because they make up the majority of armed forces in Pakistan. Top leadership also comprises these two ethnic groups.

In 1971, armed forces installed one of their men, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to lead democratic government in Pakistan but once Bhutto attempted to be independent of his benefactors in the GHQ, there was another rebellion against him from Gen. Zia and since that time democracy returned under the shadow of military supremacy again and again.

In 2013, when Nawaz Sharif became the PM with heavy mandate, he was also following the footsteps of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by attempting to be independent. He couldn’t be hanged for certain reasons, so he was disqualified through GHQ’s red light square ‘the Supreme Court of Pakistan’.

Since this is the age of media warfare, Pakistan’s electronic and print media (including social media) has been overwhelmingly working on the agenda of Pakistan’s armed forces and ISI. Perhaps there are only 2 or 3 TV channels including Geo. and Dawn who are not influenced by ISI; the rest are truly abiding by the dictations given to them by the ISPR (ISI or GHQ).

No one realises how they are destroying the nationhood and the very foundation of this country. I’m not saying that politicians are clean. They are equally responsible for the destruction of this country to their brethren in uniform.

As a humble Pakistani, I don’t know how this country maybe saved. I don’t see any honest people who can take this nation from darkness and destruction to bright light of peace and prosperity.
