Guwahati, Nov. 24. (PTI): The RSS today said the Pakistani ISI was aiding and abetting a section of the Muslims and terrorist organisations in Assam to carry out the on-going violence against the Biharis.
“The brutality with which these ghastly incidents were carried out with slitting of throats and torching of houses cannot be the handiwork of the cultured Assamese people,” RSS Chief, K S Sudarshan, told reporters here.
“The violence was unleashed as part of a movement for pan Islamisation of the north-eastern region along with Bangladesh by reducing the Hindu population,” he said.
“The call of the ULFA Chief to the Hindi speaking people to leave Assam has unfolded his nefarious design under which the space vacated by the Biharis is sought to be occupied by the Bangladeshi infiltrators,” he said.
ULFA leaders staying in Bangladesh as “freedom fighters” were arming people here, sending them weapons to create trouble here, Sudarshan said.
“The situation here was the same as in the Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
