It was considered to be respectful towards teacher for getting permission in this way. My cousins also used to meet their teachers / parents by touching their feet, but I never did that and got title of Badtameez :hehe: My philosophy always remained ‘Sirf Dil se izzat karo’.

Touching feet is too common here in our part.....i always touch my parents feet before leaving home for some journey.....

even we used to touch feet of our teacher out of respect...............:@:

I can’t show-off. Main jaisa hoon waisa hoon ke bunyad per rishte / taluq nibhata hoon.. Neither I change myself, nor I require others to change for me :sunnyboy:

I didn’t mean that :emmy: I meant respect finds its way to tell the other party that you respect him / her. For me, such things seems quite superficial. Ok I think this requires another thread :snooty:
