^ umm actually i think it was his ability as an ace golfer that made him very very rich, no? he was one of those rare celebrities who actually avoided the press and interviews and all that hoopla so i don't think he really worked on his image as the 'prefect' guy that much, it was just how ppl preceived him to be since since he wasn't putting himself out there and no one knew much about his personal life. and now we do.
