From what we know of him, if Jinnah was alive today, he would most likely be supporting the protesting lawyers position and even joining with them. He was a man of letter and law, not a man of brute force and gun like the traitor army.

This was also in Stan Wolpert's book on Jinnah. Close to the time of his demise, Jinnah was a little wary of some people in the military (which was alot different from what it is now).
Yeah that would be natural, as again Jinnahs dealing with military matters was minimum and there is little evidence of any Army contacts during the Pakistan Movement.
I should say people also forget the vast difference between the Armed forces in politics and the Army in politics.
When it's a military take over it's usually the Army and the Corp commanders and not the rest of the Armed forces. The Airforce, Navy, Engineering Corps are generally quite non political. And in Ayub Khans time, it was in fact the navy which preceded the Army in terms of military hierarchy because that was the British legacy. Ayub Khan did not like that for obvious reasons and he ousted the navy chief first when he took over. He was also the first Commander in Chief to also serve in the cabinet as defence minister.

India Pakistan ko kabhi khatam nahee karega! Agar usko khatam kurna hota to wo Bangladesh nahee banata! West Bengal kay saath mila day ta!
Malaysia and Turkey are far ahead of Pakistan in S&T! But they do go not for nuclear!

Hindu mentality was to remain slave to gora people (muslims from the north) but with modern education and democracy, their mentality has changed! They are now far more progressive and broad minded than our narrow minded, short sighted and baised muslims.
