Israel hits Palestinian ‘camp’ in Syria

Israeli warplanes have attacked a Palestinian “terrorist training base” inside Syria - the first Israeli attack on Syrian soil for more than 20 years.
The operation came in response to Saturday’s bloody suicide attack on a restaurant in the northern Israeli port Haifa, which killed 19 people.

Syria has said it will lodge an urgent complaint about the raid with the United Nations Security Council and the UN Secretary General.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has condemned the raid as “aggression against a brother country”.

German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said the raid “cannot be accepted”, while the UK Government urged all sides to exercise restraint.

Israel violates and bombs a soverign muslim country by using the excuse that they are fighting a war on terror. What is preventing the muslim countries which border Israel namely syria, Egypt and turkey and even Jordan from attacking and invading Israel by using the same pretext of war on terror, because is not what the jews doing in Palastine not terrorism? The answer is simple muslim rulers have no political will they do as they are told by the americans. How pathetic the muslim rulers are for complaining to the UN an organisation which in history was established to stop the spread of Islam by the Uthmani Khilafah into Europe and whose numerouse laws Israel has violated time and time again. The western politicans especially from Britain who established this cancer in the heart of the muslim lands were the ones who made Israel a reality are urging the muslims for restraint, when the muslims in syria have done absolutely nothing at all. Is this the beginning of the invasion of Syria with the jews attacking on one front and the americans on the other time will tell? MAy Allah swt give the muslim ummah the courage to work to remove corrupt muslim rulers and re-establish the khilafah on their ruins and only then will the believers rejoice.

Hey Haifa begins with an H why didn't the Izz'z bomb Honduras too and Hong Kong there's strong enough evidence to create a link to break international law there too.

I suppose if the US didn't bomb Syria there wasn't a strong enough pretext and as we all know the US doesn't need good reasons to invade a country.

After this action, I am sure no state can stop others doing the same every time Israel murders Palestinian's in cold blood? To start off with I think Hezbollah should fire at least 400 missiles in Israel's direction to avenge the killing of every Palestinian baby and child that the Zionists terrorist army has killed over the last two years.

Now would the Israeli cowards dare take on Hezbollah after the 22 years of beatings they got from them in Lebanon? I think not.

Just goes to show how backward Muslim countries are in:

1- Technology (We can't make our own planes, tanks, missiles, etc).
2- Leadership (What else will kings and dictators do. They are in power because of the west.)
3- Unity (We are not an Ummah, but sunni's, shias, punjabi's, pushtoon's, kurd's, sindhi's, arabi's, etc, etc).

Israel attacks Syria and our leaders complain to the U.N. Saladin, Khalid-bin-Walid, Tariq-bin-Ziyad, Hazart Umar (pbuh), Hazart Ali (pbuh), etc. must be turning in their graves. Sad day for Muslims. Shameful is more like it.

Well what's stopping them? No doubt once the time for the khilafah has come we will see the muslim ummah in Arabia rise up and boot out the corrupt muslim rulers. In the meantime I suppose they must be happy enough with the status quo thus no khilafah.

Several bullets also hit a house on the Lebanese side of the border in the southern village of Kfar Kila, but no residents were harmed, the security officials added on condition of anonymity.

The reported incident comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Syria, Lebanon’s close ally, following Israel’s air raid Sunday on what the Jewish state said was a Palestinian militant base.

There was no immediate comment from Israeli officials.

An official of the U.N. Interim Force In Lebanon, a peacekeeping force that regularly sends patrols along the border on the Lebanese side of the frontier, said there was a shooting incident and that it was investigating.

It was unclear what prompted the shooting on a road that abuts the fence separating Lebanon from Israel.

A spokesman for Hezbollah, the anti-Israeli militant Lebanese guerrilla group active in south Lebanon, also said he had heard reports of an incident but had no details.

Shootings on the edge of this border town, some 100 kilometers (60 miles) southeast of Beirut, have been rare since Israeli troops withdrew from south Lebanon in 2000 following their 18-year occupation.

The area is generally calm, unlike the contested Chebaa Farms to the east were shootouts between Israeli border guards and Hezbollah guerrillas occasionally flare into artillery and rocket exchanges, sometimes prompting Israeli air strikes.

Lebanese security officials and soldiers who arrived at the scene after the shooting at sundown said Israeli soldiers patrolling a road on the Israeli side of the electrified border fence fired at two vehicles, a sedan and a passenger mini van.

Israeli soldiers yelled at reporters and Lebanese soldiers who arrived at the scene about an hour after the shooting and ordered them to leave the area.

Isreal whether alone or with the US isn't likely to get an ass whooping any time soon. If unprovoked bombing a few miles from your capital doesn't stir you into action not much will.

Right on the money. I think this shows the impotence of the Arab and the larger Muslim world. I thank Allah for giving us the Nuclear deterrant we have and the strong military that is ready for everything.

Let's see Afghanistan, Iraq are American colonies, Syrians cowering from Israel/US, Jordan, Eygpt lapdogs of the US, Lebanon in disarray. That leaves the mantle of leadership to Turkey and it's defiant stand against the US invasion of Iraq, and Iran battling for nuke capibilities.

For Pakistan I would say an excellent macroeconomic performance yet shame in geopolitics.
