Is This HAdith Authentic?

Since, as a Hindu you will reject all the evidence given by the Muslim and non-Muslim historians, kindly please tell me of ** one Indian historical record/text/book etc atleast about 1000 years old that mentions the word "Hind" or "Hindu" or "Hindi" etc. **

If you can't, then you are lying.

Well, Well. Is Microsoft Encarta a good enough source for you?

Let’s see what they have to say about ‘Hinduism’ and the Word ‘Hindu’

The word Hindu is derived from the Sanskrit word sindhu (“river”—more specifically, the Indus); the Persians in the 5th century BC called the Hindus by that name, identifying them as the people of the land of the Indus.

Is that enough for you? Who is a liar now?

"Amreeka" is again Arabic-Persian-Urdu form of "America". NOT HINDI.

Hindustani is again an Urdu word.

Let me quote what I’d said:

** Just ONE Indian source ** that uses that name. ** JUST ONE. **

** Who is the liar now ?

All that you gave me is a quote from Microsoft Encarta, which is likely based on the “research” of some Hindu scholars.

let me quote it again:

Could you please tell me the ** Indian book/manuscript etc ** that ** mentions ** that the word “Hindu” is derived from the word “Sindhu” ?

Or else, I’ll take it to mean as simply a conjecture on the part of the Hindu scholars ** to avoid the embarassment ** of admitting that “Hind” is an Arabic word.

** Who is the liar now ?

What an excellent hadith that informs the muslims of a future event. There is a principle in islamic fiqh that when there are many ahadith that repeatedly emphasise the same point (i.e.the conquering of India) then the meaning of that hadith is definite (mutawatir) but obviously your question is if it is an autentic hadith and i know for a fact that it is acceptable(but i will further look into it insha-Allah). If you look back at Islamic history, Allah(swt) promised many victories to the muslims, even when there were only a handfull of muslims in the whole world. This promise however did not cause the muslims to become relaxed as many people use these ahadith to say that Allah has promised victory so we do not need to work hard.In fact these promises by Allah and the Prophet generated zeal within the muslims to work even harder and spread the correct viewpoint in life to the people.

The hadith mentions the conquering of India and in the past Allah9swt) promised the Prophet the victory of Makkah and the Prophet achieved the conquest via the mechanism of an Islamic state, where he used the armed forces (of the mujahideen)and split them in 4 battalions and conquered Makkah. Today the muslims do not have a government that represent thier opinion and neither do any governments have a policy of conveying Islam to humanity via conquests. Hence, in reality only the islamic state has a foreign policy of conveying Islam to the world by dawah and Jihaad. So in order to see the hadith in existence, the muslims are required to establish an Islamic khilafah state that will solve the Kashmir problem and dicipline India by directly ruling over it. Insha-allah may Allah give us the life to see this occur. Ameen.
