Dude just copy all files to your system and open them from there. If it gives u any message just cancel it.

Billi give back to the person whom you gave that drive before and ask him/her to try to open in his computer/laptop.

As I did something as someone said that person take off the USB drive while it was reading/writing. Once I did that after inserting in the same computer it worked fine. Try that.
