Is there forgiveness for adultery?

I haven’t seen the drama but Islamically, there is something that says there is always forgiveness available if you ask for it, even for adulterers and murderers.
.

Repentance is not just an option but a desirable option by Islam. I am not sure about murder as murder involves a victim and he/she needs to forgive the murderer or he will be punished.
