Fariha, it says chor ke peechay that’s why it should be “the thief”. Agar aise hota ke kisi chor ke peechay tab “a thief”. Aur agar ek se ziada chor hote tab “one thief” or two or three etc.

Behind tab hota hai jab koi race waghera ho tu person running behind is losing and the person running ahead is winning. In this context because chor ko pakarna hai tu running after ziada mozu hai.

2nd sentence main steal ke spelling ghalat hain.

3rd is right. Jo kkf ne suggest kya wo bhi theek hai. Not allowing.
