Ask them and not us. Ask them why they believe in this, probably for the non muslims to realise here is a scripture which state of a forth coming Prophet and hence your religion will be complete and achieve salvation as this is a true Prophet and who wil come down with the religion of Allaah and decreed laws of Allaah.
But I feel in our time its gone overboard, as these scriptures were notknown publicly before and only some esoterics used them, but it no more isolated in today's world.
