Shaheen- sister please read 2 or 3 messages that I wrote above then you will figure out what I am trying to say.
Halal means Lawful. I said "Alcohol is Kosher not Halal" so obviously I mean that Alcohol is Unlawful. Please read some of my messages again above.

I thought we were talking about Kosher meat here??
If an animal is slaughtered under Jewish Law (in the name of Allah), then are you saying it is forbidden to us?
Surely, that contradicts what Allah teaches us..
Damn! Islam is very confusing.
Nyah, you are just confused.
The sad fact is we can argue until the cows come home (halal or kosher

) but we forget to follow the essence of our religion and busy ourselves with the minutia.
Shaheen- Sorry about that.
We are talking about Kosher food here as far as I know.
Let me make it simple.
Kosher is not the same as Halal.
Kosher meat is allowed in Islam.
Also you can eat any food from a Jew's or Christians house that is Halal or if it's meat product it has to be at least Kosher.
I hope this was easy to understand.
Salam for now.
