My parents are always fighting too. For instance, just five mins ago my dad came home with a box of juice. Mom had asked for doodh (milk) not juice but my poor dad is hard of hearing and his hearing aid doesn't help him much at all, so he got juice instead. He is unwilling to accept that he HEARD wrong (very sensitive about his ears), so their argument started. I find their fights funny and I think they argue over useless stuff because they just love to, umm, argue? If a couple gets into serious fights all the time then it is definitely not love they feel for each other.

It's best not to let sweeping generalizations inform your understanding of your own relationships. If you have a reason for concern, talk to the person. Don't create issues when there aren't any or make issues bigger than they are.
I am like this that if i really care about someone, I get angry at them, i fight n argue. Ppl who are just ppl around me , i dont force my point on them. I ll give a good advice out of my good nature :D but then its up to them, take it or leave it. Whereas when i care about someone, love him/her, i do try my level best that he/she gets what i m telling him/her.
My dada and dadi had these fights all the time. Dadi died first n Dada couldnt live without her. He fell sick after her death and died within 2yrs :(
My mom n dad fights toooooo much. Dad has this habit of arguing over everything. But when mom is not at home, like comes to UAE etc, he will call on my cell on same day and say , where is my Mrs.? Give her phone i want to talk to her. She forgets me completely as soon as she sees her daugthers. :D
I don't think it's true at all. An argument here and there is normal between couples but to fight with each other to prove that you love each other isn't not something I have experienced. Many couples do fight quiet a bit but I don't think this it proves that they love each other infact I think it proves their relationship is getting weaker and their communication is suffering.

We both translated your post to English and what she ended up with is totally different than what I ended up with, hence the fight. I guess we love each other a lot :)
