Is it really not a big deal

That is true.

Are they doing it now? Or perhaps when they were younger they experimented out of curiosity? As long as they are productive adults now and aren't doing it anymore then I guess you live you learn. However if they are well into adult hood and justifying doing "pot" that's just insane.

Re: Is it really not a big deal

Mid to late 20s

maybe I find the bragging about it more offensive than the actual smoking of it?

Re: Is it really not a big deal

2 wrongs dont make it right-if its wrong its wrong.

Re: Is it really not a big deal

I didn't think marijuana was common with desis. Seriously?

How can you put dupattas on your head and go to jumaa and yet do that crap??

Urgh. More disgust at people. Why are people so miserable that they need illegal substances to make themselves feel better? My life sucks more than any one of yours, so no one has an excuse. If I can stay away from it, so can you.

Amazed at the careless attitude some here are showing.

Re: Is it really not a big deal

"Above the influence"..

Does noone care about "saying no to drugs"?

you gotta be kidding me eh! Majority of the people i know who do marijuana are desis..mainly pakistanis, unfortunately.

Re: Is it really not a big deal

Are you serious?? Like moronic college kids or people with families (spouses, kids)?

Re: Is it really not a big deal

oh no, I am not sure about ppl with families..I was talking mainly about highschool/college folks...sorry, i didnt really even read the thread properly..were we talking about desi family men?

I was quite shocked at first to know that there are pakistanis who smoke pot/weed. The ones I have come across are in undergrad and grad school and come from educated families. I haven't come across people with kids who smoke. It's a mix too, guys and girls. But I don't know how common it is.
