I recently came across an odd well not very odd these days. I applied for very suitable role at one of the global IT company based at UK offices. the role description matched very well.

let me clear first, i do normally get an interview call if i send out my CV, i am very selective where a**nd who to apply. owing to 13 years exp and skill set.

I got reply back, well saying skill doesnt match … meaning some one just screened me out not going to next stage for atleast this role, by looking at email address it was from a remote BPM call centre employee in India. now that becomes very understandable, I can understand attitudes of professionals transformed when the exposed or worked out of home countries. They normally dont do such things. Why would a person sitting in India, knowingly let a Birt-Pakistani (questionnaire was filled) when they can, go to even first stage or phone interview and going to the people who are actually hiring for this role.

I was also involved in hiring in past, know the process well. I can ask the detailed feedback as per UK Law. will contact once i have the feedback for other roles I have applied at the same company.

it may be i am over reacting by the feeling of rejection. what you guys think?

If its an Indian who is screening you resume, you should know that Indian companies have Lower cutoff limit and upper cutoff limit. If they think that you have too much work ex for this job, even if you have all the skills they might pass your resume…And they have this rule book they follow when they are screening the resume…

In campus interview tests in India, students gets rejected if they score above certain mark and they get rejected if they score below certain mark. HR thinks that students who score high do not stick long enough with the company. May be your resume was too good and ofcourse they wont tell you that.
