look at it this way, centuries of first the Mugal and then the European invasion have helped in forming India, look how we have accommodated all, keep on coming we have huge huge ! mental space,
Dont forget the Aryan invasion. The people of India accommodated them by agreeing to accept the staus of untouchables just so their new masters could prance about as gods chosen!

idea of India only started 150 - 200 years ago and it all started with Indus valley civilization, and even if you go by Aryan invasion of India do not forget Aryans created The Hindu religion …, and yes we will accept Aryans too if there where any.
And that is history of this region not of India’s. India today is a true cosmopolitan country in the world.
