Actually we all ; muslim men and women excluding very few blessed servants of Allah are busy in lot of unislamic activities.....
A sin may be big a sin may be small....
some sin are small in our opinion but According Shariah they are grave sins and vice versa And Allah knows the best....
We must try to follow shariah...If we fail to follow sharia we must ask for forgiveness.....
If we commit a sin its ok as compared to declaring every such activity as halal by calling it platonic and etc....
drinking wine will make us sinner still we can ask for forgiveness but calling it halal will make us non muslim....

I dont remember her name but there was a pakistani minister she hugged a paratrooper.....there was a big hue and cry in pakistan... this story may lead to islamic rules against hugging of opposite sexes.....thats up to you....

Technically speaking it is not but I totally understand what you are referring to. It has happened to me as well. Best thing to do is talk to the person and let them know.

if you must, what you can do is anticipate the stiuation i.e. the gurl is getting super excited and she will come running towards you. and that very moment instead of spread your arms put your hands on your pocket i.e. the store is closed

Entirely different scenario buddy...it's not like a split second thing, you always have the option to decline without offending the other person.
