Well perhaps they were not hugging you … but they had to do something as you run in to them or they would get knocked over … the jappha dampens the impact ..
On a serious note: What I do is cower when someone approaches me with their arms stretched … I make this “ahh” screech and they get the idea that I would rather not be hugging them …
