First of all I absolutely hate the capri style....but that's just me. My sister loves it.
If I am gonna wear capri's or any other desi style suit without a dupatta and try to look all westernized....I should just buy western clothes in the first place. It's a lot cheaper then buying desi clothes online or from a store here in the states.
If I am gonna wear desi clothes....it has to look DESI (with dupatta, shalwar and what not). I dont like the "fushion" look. Going out of style or not! doesnt matter to me! I like my dupatta and i wouldn't wear desi clothes any other way.

AE: You are right and for me either I wear western clothing or Shalwar Qameez main thing is to wear modestly. And I always considered duppatta as sharm-o-hayaa ki nishani which is evaporating from Pak girls.
Duppatta and out of fashion, i dont think so, i wear my duppatta's like scarfs all the time, and peeps are like wow u have so many colourful scarfs....
and when i wear my duppatta on my head my ammie get's sooo happy....:@:
i have never seen any pakis girl without dupatta in shalwar kameez
anyways even if you see a paki girl with that what can you do. some people cannot even stop thier own daughters then what will you do about others daugheters.

i agree, once ur in Pakistan and u look around, u realize that dupattas have not gone "out of style", as i said before. it is very much a part of the outfit for 99% of the women. living in the US, I do get to see a different picture though, through tv, fashion magazines and internet images but reality is different. media is hardly ever a true depiction of a society and in Pakistan's case we have never been represented accurately through this meduim.
I say we should blame it on the designers! in magazines and all almost all dresses are without dupattas, and they put em up on models real good thus we dont feel like wearing em either
