But basically, Omar (RA) was known to have said that he continued to have intimate relations with his wife even after he had reached an age when he didn't have those desires anymore. And all that just so he could have children and spread Islam. By that logic, psyah is right and birth control (though perhaps allowed) is not preferable. That makes family planning super hard :(
^ Does it say somewhere in the Quran that we are to follow Omar (RA) or any other precedents set by any other Caliph? Even if it differs from an example set in the Quran or by the Prophet (SAW)?

Sister ... do what is in your capability ... if you choose to use contraception - dislike it in the heart ... plan but know that Allah (SWT) is the Best of Planners ... know that any plan you make things can go off plan and if they do then let them happen with full peace of heart ... Allah (SWT) does not burden you with things beyond your capability. And constantly ask forgiveness for your inefficiencies ... At least this is what we try to do ...
