Well stop wasting your time with it (and certain other bakvaas theories and concepts that you seem to be spending way too much time on). It's not real.
but sirji, your highness, don't tell me you've never watched any of the star trek series episodes, especially the next generation reruns. i'm hoping the technology for it just has not been created yet but I don't see it as 'bakwaas'. a lot of what einstein used to talk about was seen as 'bakwaas' by his teachers :P

yeah ive seen star trek and its ok to enjoy it as fiction (im not a HUGE fan at all)... but to hope that what t heyr showing is true is not cool or logical..
we know now that it's not possible to travel at/faster than the speed of light.. and other points made some of the posters on this thread.. hoping tht we are proven wrong and one of the random fiction theories out there becomes true is not logical and a waste of your time and mental energy ... imo!
there is plenty of fascinating awesome REAL science stuff that already exists and not everyone knows about... i find spending time on that topic much more valuable and satisfying :D
^^sidenote, you're so bossy :p
what about Xenophanez's post mr. "good summary". you read what he said and you still say it is completely and totally not possible at all. he never said it was not possible, he said we just haven't gotten there technologically to see it as something that could be possible
As with time mass will increase and there is no way we can control it . So infinite time means infinite mass .
you mean as with speed, the mass will increase?
But there is a way around it, to bend space time (the way worm holes do). the other end of worm hole is not just in a different part of space but in different instance if time.
I want to clarify one thing. There is a time travel thread in AV where people are discussing which event to visit if you have a time machine.
Even if Time Travel is possible, it would be very hard to determine the exact time destination that we want to reach. But the biggest hurdle is the space destination. It would almost be impossible to do that because every object in this universe is moving, rotating, vibrating, revolving at different speeds at the same time. Earth, where it was in 3d space five hours ago is no longer there, so calculating where earth was 3000 years ago in space (even if we ignore the fact that space itself is expanding) is impossible. It would be like blindfoldedly jumping from an airplane and trying to land on a moving ship that you never know heading at which direction at what speed.
