ok lets see what i can do: why is it shaped like an iron .. mmmm … well its because it makes ironing easy, and if it werent shaped like an iron then what name would you give to an ironing board, or did you ever think what came first, the ironing board or the iron? maybe the iron was coppied from ironing board and as a result why is iron shaped like an ironing board.

well i can think of some more reasons but these are the best i can come up with :smiley:

Its shaped like an iron so that the shirts can be pressed easily :smilestar:
You put the narrow end of the board INSIDE the shirt so that you can iron the front side and sleeves of the shirt
