Iraqi rebels bomb Baghdad water pipeline at height of summer

Re: Iraqi rebels bomb Baghdad water pipeline at height of summer

I'll read the whole thing but have just started and quote,

"U.S. forces stormed a hospital in Nasiriya on April 1 and 2 and later showed evidence that it had been illegally used by Iraq for military purposes"

You cannot truthfully deny that these locations (hospitals, schools, mosques) have been used as bases for rebels/insurgents; I have a hard time believing you don't know that. Civilian causalities must be avoided whenever at all possible, I’m not going to sit here and say that this has always been followed nor will I defend strikes when it is not. War is a messy and confusing thing and innocents will be killed in the flash of things but the U.S. military has spent billions developing weapons hoping to avoid innocent losses, that is a fact.

Saddam had control of Iraq because he was ruthless while the U.S., as much as you may not like to believe it is not ruthless the majority of times (we have all seen disturbing and inexcusable exceptions) hence the lack of total control.

That said, the terrorists, be them Muslims or other, who struck London yesterday are ruthless as are the Iraq insurgents who deliberately target civilians.
