A Florida Congressional seat now is in play for Dems after a Republican Congressman’s sexual explict emails with a 16 year old boy surfaced today. ![]()
Re: Iraq is 'cause celebre' for extremists
Since the war started, I never understood why US invaded Iraq. I mean if they had just concentrated on Afganistan and Taliban, they might have succeeded.
Invasion of Iraq has given Iran a positive edge.
I think Bush is surrounded by either very dumb people or people with some agenda.
Re: Iraq is 'cause celebre' for extremists
I do not think most of the Americans vote or will vote for Republicans because they love them and their policies. I see it mostly a 'protest or scared vote' like with Hamas, Hezbollah and MMA with Muslim countries.
Re: Iraq is ‘cause celebre’ for extremists
yeah i read that, but they werent explicit? he only asked for the kids picture.. not that the subtext isnt suggestive..
problem for democrats like in 2004 is that they have nothing except “look how bad they are” as strategy, thus open themselves to being regarded as whining problem creators not solvers. they dont really have any principles to speak of, effectively because they dont want to be branded as gay terrorist loving hippie leftists which they are soon as they try to do anything, so they’ll float with the headlines, which Bush and co will manipulate towards the end of the elections season.
Sept 11. Torture laws (“do democrats want more rights for terrorists?” No! Lets half of us vote in favor). The fence (“Do democrats not love america?”. NO! Lets make the stupid fence). All major wins for repubs, and unless a lot more senators send lustful emails to mail interns i think theyre gonna win in the tight races.
I honestly dont think Democrats have ANY clue what they would do differently. Their goals obviously dont seem to be to have a solution to Iraq or the economy or terrorism, their only goal seems politics and gaining seats. And I dont think the rest of the world should think that american policies will change in the event of an (unlikely) dem govt.
Re: Iraq is ‘cause celebre’ for extremists
All is well, keep the problems under carpet… thats what they tried, thanks to the leakages otherwise all we would’ve heard on TV and Radio is “all is well, the war on terror is doing great”.
So after all these years of ‘fight against terror’ what the arm-chair-criticis around the world had suggested is now coming true i.e. multiplication of ‘terrorists’ in numbers/locations. If all the arm-chair-critics were able to ‘predict’ the outcome, don’t you think the ‘think-tanks’ also knew but have some other plans/agenda which we are trying to guess?

tell me one thing, are you in the against the war on terror. some faniky lives in caves, got some excess money and spreads terror by smashing air plane in the bulding unnecessary killing innocent people. such a person should be hanged in the public. and you pakis are supporting him just because he is muslim. at least fear the rage of allah…:grumpy::mad:

If nothing else there would be an open debate in Congress about what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan and what should be done. The 'stay the course' option has failed and the Republican controlled congress refuses to accept this and they refuse to look at other solutions. There truly is a state of denial within this administaration and within the Republican party as awhole. There are no easy answers but to contining to push the wrong one is only making things worse.
