Just 10000, the Cons. must be bummed :-/

I'm just heart wrenched looking at such a high toll of civilian casualties, that is, almost 10000. And it was supposed to be liberating them? How can you liberate people by killing them? I also don’t believe in the argument, put forward by some, that by tolerating and condoning this loss of life you're saving thousands of lives in the future by getting rid of Saddam. Well, first of all who made you to decide to take some one's life to save some one else’s? If somebody comes up to you saying 'I'll kill you right now so that maybe, just maybe, we can save five people in the future'. What do you think the response would be? I bet there would be quite a few nay sayers. Also there is no guarantee that ouster of Saddam would shelter those people from further conflicts and genocides. Look at what is happeneing now; every suicide bombing there takes with it on average five or ten Iraqis. And with the ethnic mixup of that area, that is, Kurds etc conflict is a matter of when not if. God knows how much further horror awaits those abject people.

WMDs are absent in Iraq, and so are these 10000 people.

Yes, and that is American military terrorism in Iraq for you.

Civilian deaths could be well over 20,000 as many are never reported by the Iraqis.

MORE THAN 20,000 IRAQIS DEAD SINCE WAR STARTED](http://www.peacewomen.org/news/Iraq/Nov03/dead.html) Peacewomen 13 Nov 03

November 13, 2003 - (IRIN) A new report by in the international health charity Medact estimates that more than 20,000 Iraqi’s have died between the start of the war and late last month. “The statistics were collated from different reports from aid agencies and we spoke to people on the ground,” director of Medact, Mike Rowson told IRIN from London on Thursday.

“The number of people affected by the aftermath of the war is still rising as the Iraqi people continue to pay the price in death, injury and mental and physical ill health,” the report said. A report published at the end of October by the US-based research group, Project on Defence Alternatives maintained that some 13,000 Iraqis, including 4,300 non-combatants, were killed during the war. …

It seems the terrorism of the American military has no limits...

The vast majority of those killed were combatants.

^^ Based on which information/intelligence? Is it the same people who supplied the information regarding WMDs and are subject to investigation by not so independant panel?

No, Project on Defense Alternatives. Thousands of non-combatants have been killed which is a sickening amount and why war should be avoided at all costs. I think in the end when all is said and done Iraq will be better off, what that means to the family of those killed, probably not to much.

I suppose 20,000 civilian deaths means nothing to the neo-cons.. How will Iraq be better off after these killings! Truth is the situation in Iraq is fast becoming a Vietnam like quagmire for the Bush Administration.

Spot on. The foreign fighters of the US military have killed tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's in less than one year, and these terrorists are saying they may maintain a military presence for years to come. At the rate the US military is killing innocent Iraqi's we will have 100,000 killed by them in this period.
