Haha, being on gupshup for these three years, I now, mostly know which ‘desi’ girl is objecting to what when they said what. It’s also called ‘reading between he lines’. Im sure many others here realise that too.
And just to be more specific, my posts were not directed at PCG’s.

I worked at a popular clothing store last year. A couple came in and as i was opening a credit card for them i saw their names as muslim names and asked them about it. They were recent irani immigrants and asked me where i was from-when i told them my rents were Paki they were suprised. They thought i was persian- i've been to Iran, as well. Trust me, i don't have any of that "legendary beauty"
it was flattering though :D

^ oh comon TNWB, that's quite mean. I think she's got her point, and I do not think its because she is insecure of her looks at all. I think she's annoyed with desi guys with double standards. I don't blame her.
Look at what other posts the original poster has started, and also his other posts in life1 and then look at this thread.

Okay I don’t know what you’re going on about. If you’re talking about me, no I’m not offended by this thread because I’m secretly insecure about my looks or am jealous of Iranian girls or anything of the sort. Read what I wrote carefuly, I have no problem with Iranian/Middle Eastern girls; I’m offended because the original poster and guys like him are starting to annoy me :o with their double standards

Iranians r very beautiful, women and men. I don't really know wot sets them apart from other middle easterners/asians, as i see a lot of resemblence between us all. Correct me if i'm wrong, but a lot of Pakistanis have roots tracing back to Iran, as well as Afghanistan yea? Anyway, a lot of Indians and Pakistanis are mistaken for Iranians, at least in our family. Our Iranian neighbours of 3 yrs now, thought we were Iranian also. And they always comment on how alike our families r in many ways, including our looks. I don't find it particularly flattering, even though it is a nice thing, but just becos i think Pakistanis r very beautiful also.
I agree with TheNewWannaBe, i think it is totally wrong for girls to act all "bitchy" just becos a Pakistani guy wants to discuss the beauty of Iranis. It is true, and we shud all be secure enough to admit it. Their beauty is legendary, and we shud appreciate beautiful things as well. I don't think umair_ahmed meant to start a religious discussion, i don't know y some ppl bring religion into this forum. If he wanted that, he wud have opened this in the Religion forum.
And Sara516, u urself said "Iranian guys.......So good looking"...so y r u offended when guys say that Iranian girls r good looking? Isn't that being a bit hypocritical and a double standard also? Btw, there r plenty of religious, well-cultured Iranian girls and guys out there, just like with any other nationality...but that is off topic, i believe this discussion is just about how beautiful they r that's all. It's not about having double standards or wot not, everyone, guys and girls, have their own taste in beauty and wot attracts them. It doesn't make u any less beautiful :)

I have an issue when someone who says it's okay to call someone else ugly because Allah has made them ugly, questions your imaan when you eat a bigmac ocasionally, and says uncovered women deserve to be raped.
