we were putting the guppies on trial to see if they’d come up with banners like they do on 14aug/eid/ramadan but seems like ‘yeh kaam bhee ham moderators ko hee karna parray ga’…
like pakistani awaam our public also knows only to complain and wud not see that they themselves failed to contribute…

Shikwa/ Jawab-e- shikwa are just amazing. Last time I read them was to pass Urdu exam in college. Today, I read them cuz I got addicted to one shair after another...Now I want to hear NFK sing it.

Putting a burden of responsibilty on others where you have the ultimate power is an excuse and that too for a person of the stature of Iqbal... There was no need of experimentation of this kind :) .... as I said, it must have been more enthusiastic if it was basant time... Innit?.... I hardly ever made any banner for this site .. just once I believe, few years back but then I am not a very good image designer and there are much better people out there... They would have come, if the step was initiated from Gupshup... laikin yaad kiss ko rehtaa hai :~)

its not a burden of responsibility, but an observation. My personal view is that the mod team was unable to take initiative this time mostly due to the heavy efforts thay have been making in some special development projects. At the same time it did not look like that the members really gave a damn about Iqbal, even this thread had pathetic participation.

There was no experimantation. things slipped due to other critical projects the mods are involved with.

True the mods were unable to lead the initiative as they usually do with other events , and the fact that the members did not give a damn evident in the lack of anything on this subject :)
very disappointing indeed on all fronts. I guess there is nothing more to be said unless somone wants to make it an issue for no reason :)
