There are pros and cons to the new format. But it is the same for all teams. If KKR has not lost their last game vs MI, they would have been in the top 2 instead of CSK.
They lost 2 games on the trot when it mattered, and are out.

What an awesome couple of years has he had??? 2 IPLs.. Champions League.. WC !! great performances in ODI and T20.. and the best of all.. took india to #1 in test and stayed there!!! wow!

Well you obviously don't care but there are many people who do..and for them it is definitely an accomplishment to win 2 back to back IPLs where MOST teams have a lot of international stars and there is not much clear superiority over other teams..
but of course the WC win is much much much more important than IPLs..
in the IPL whats even better is that Chennai also won the fair play award.. shows that you can be fair and have good sportsmanspirit at the same time as beating your opponents.. just fyi the fair play award is given to the team with the most fair play points.. and these points are given by opponent teams to each other after each game..

this one was the LONGEST IPL though!! 75ish games.. I stop watching it half way through it.. and then came back into it towards the end! I guess I should accept that it's a LEAGUE.. and not a TOURNAMENT..
