Thank You Silaaj was trying to decide whether to buy iphone 6 or 7, from US or get it in Islamabad! seems ones bought in the US can still have a new simm installed for local use in Pakistan right?

If you buy the phone from Apple store, then yes, it can be used in Pakistan. If you have a contract based phone in the US, then you will have to get it unlocked from the carrier before being able to use it in Pakistan.
