More the merrier, some thing tells me that this is imminent :k: Mr. Khan might just be contend with a selectors roll for now rather than Chairman. Unlessss,he gets pressure from above, but not right now I guess, political ambitions you see!
I agree with smooth_guy that we hsould try out youhana. At least he tried to impriovise in both tests when things were not going his way. Inzi just relaxes and waits for thigns to happen.
Younis Khan can be considered once he has cemented his place in both forms of the game. Apart from that, I dont see anyone deserving enough to take the job.
p.s How I badly wish that Rashid was made to leave when team was doing really well under him. Too bad Aamir Sohail and him could not get along.
ha ha ha ha
koi kah raha hai youhana....
shoaib is best choice, always creative mind...
agar moin ki captaicny may achay records hain it doesn't means
kay woh acha captian hai...
He should be sacked. then whole pak crick team should be sacked. new players should b brought in. pak has sme talent and then u guys will hav a new team for 2007 w/c....
I like Imran khan... I wud love it if he cmes and gives sme tips 2 Indian players. He can even bcome our President of ICB....
The problem is that our cricket is passing through a vacuum because of domestic cricket standard.
There is no leadership talent in sight with a mature batting/bowling.So Sacking would only add new records for other teams.
Until, there is long term planning like Aus did in 80s, we will start losing within three days consistently, The batting standards have improved tremendously in the last decade and until our domestic cricket becomes good enough especially with our bowlers and bowling wickets, our bowlers will continue to get hammerred. The Aussie commentators asked Waqar how many teams in domestic competetion. He could not answer that, I bet even Shoaib knows that. Our test bowlers must bowl in domestic competition, only then they can pressure for better pitches, instead of going to England. If only Danish and medium pacers play, they will never change and invest in good pictches.
It is interesting how most of the threads end up in discussing the new captain :)
I would say we should give Inzi a year or more so that players like Butt, Bazid, and Misbah are groomed and then one of them takes on as the next long term captain while Inzi should say a decent farewell to cricket and can then eat all that he likes.
If Pollock and other senior players can accept G. Smith as their captain, I don't see a reason why the "Star" players would not accept a new comer as a skipper provided the guy has real credentials for the job he is asked to perform.
i could not agree more, in the long run what has hurt pakistan cricket the most is hasty decisions and panicing and changing the captain again after giving him such short time would only hurt the cause of finding consistency, as announced he must stay as captain until westindies series and this would also give selectors time to analyse everyone so that we don’t start blaming the new captain if so after another lost series, as far as tour of australia was concerned, everyone knew what the result would have been months before, not that i like inzi as captain but he is still a better choice with the current lot of players and we have to wait …
this is freaky!!! in my house, me and my daddi usually refer to inzi as “mota aloo” as he eats too many aloo key paratey…are you trying to tell me something alooparatha?
I honestly think Moin deserves another chance, i think it’s better to want to draw knowing you can’t win rather then just plain lose…althought i think losing is a blessing for the team sometimes.
I give up on the Pakistan cricket team, im taking down my khala’s hand made janda :(and will now start supporting England instead and my new love is Andrew Flintoff.
^ I am surprised that in this day and age, you are willing and happy in just a supporting role? Whatever happened to equality and partnership and other fancy ideas?
