Inzamam's mission to surpass Imran

Re: Inzamam’s mission to surpass Imran

we did not see many teams in the world making any good of that advantage when mcgrath missed out many games recently…

that clark is the leading wkt taker in this current ashes series, with warne, mcgrath, and brett lee playing, tells u how much of an advantage the world is at…

aussies always seem to replace their good players with better players…

i mean we all thought s. waugh’s departure wud be a blow to em, but then there was ponting, and now even before ponting has gine, there is hussey…

i dont think mcgrath’s leaving wud change things much…

but i do believe that australia can be defeated…
south africa played them down by chasing a huge huge total and hey, even bangaldesh managed a victory over them…

Re: Inzamam’s mission to surpass Imran

As I mentioned earlier in this thread nooone really mentions Inzamam’s name in the same breath as they do Lara’s and Tendulkar’s.

Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara are the two best batsmen of my era - Warne
Shane Warne says India’s Sachin Tendulkar and the West Indies’ Brian Lara are the toughest batsmen he played against.
Reflecting on a stellar Test career which will end when the current Ashes series finishes in January, Warne said Tendulkar and Lara were the batsmen he feared most.
“Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara are the two best batsmen of my era,” he said.
“I think those two guys have been the toughest at international level. Brian Lara because of his placement. I can’t believe it, it’s just amazing his placement in cricket.
He can dominate a game, as we’ve seen over the years, no matter who’s bowling.”
Warne, no stranger to the spotlight, praised the way Tendulkar handled scrutiny in India.
“I really admire Sachin for what he has to go through every day in India, with a billion people wanting him to do well,” he said.
“There’s 50,000 people outside the stadium and when he walks up to bat they all charge in.
One of the hardest things when you’ve been a successful player is everybody else’s expectations, they can wear you down after a while.”
Warne rated Australia’s loss to Sri Lanka in the 1996 Cricket World Cup as the low point of his career.
He said this month’s Test victory over England in Adelaide was a highlight, along with a Test against Sri Lanka in 1992 when he took three quick wickets to help Australia to a comeback win and said he felt part of the Test team for the first time.

Golden asif how many times are going to mention and try to rpove that Sachin and lara are above Inzi. I think everyone realises that, however as far as Pakistan cricket goes he is right up there.

I can’t understand. You love Muhammad Sami so much. Is it by sarcastic? :halo:

Re: Inzamam's mission to surpass Imran

IT IS MUCH EASIER TO WIN THE WORLD CUP, THAN TO SURPASS IMRAN.
HAD TO SAY IT.
