What the hell do cab drivers have to do with this particular thread? Btw keep YOUR narrow minded views to yourself. We happen to have a guy on gs who drives a cab, and trust me he is the nicest most helpful person I can think of at the moment. So drop the insults! Sheesh.
Secondly everyone is allowed to express a view or opinion. Just because you dont agree to it doesnt make it right or wrong. And if YOU can insult cab drivers, others can fume over issues that contradict Islam.
If its due to RAPE, then a woman cannot be punished for it. But such things happen in pakiland. If its fornication, also a woman can't be stoned to death for it (same for a man). Stoning is ONLY for adultery. And that too with 4 witnesses. Which like totally should not be resulting in the number of cases you see in countries like Pakistan.
MQ, read my post again. Don;t go on tangent. There is nothing against cab drivers, but all those conservative ppl who come to West, and then fune over its free society. If u dont like the society, get lost
lost soul.......the issue at hand is about a law of islam applicable to all muslims whether they live in the US or in Changa Manga...noone is trying to say anything against any country be it in the west or east.
The lady is advocating sex outside marriage......against a law that is established with punishment explained in detail for both the partners & not only is she not ashamed of it but she seems to be trying to promote it.
Some people will go to any extent to get attention really....donno what kind of fuss this lady will create in the future. May Allah keep us all on the rigth path.
The mushroom like growth of all these different types of the so called 'Islamic Leaders' seems to be dividing us more rather then uniting us.
why do ppl care if someone has a kid out of marriage... i think its better to raise a kid than get an abortion (which by the way is becoming very popular on dramas, wtf is up w/ that)
and i HATE those ppl who come here and bitch about the us and how horrible it is, go back to your freakin country.. and i understand if you hate the govt or whatever, but at least be thankful for what this country is giving you..
i also hate pakis who say they hate america come here to study ( get financial aid from the govt ) and leave.. ugh.. and they dont even help pakistan get better.. sorry bout my lil tangent.
The very fact that u r talking about "established principle " of punishing aduteror, is an act of violence against a peaceful citizen. This is against USA laws. If anyone of you incites violence against aduterors in USA (or specifically Asra Nomani), i will be forwarding this thread to FBI
As i said earlier, if u dont like the country, and the protection this country gives to Asra Nomani type ppl, hey, get lost
asra nomani is being protected in here?? and people still want to go after her, come on get a freakin life!! whats wrong with her and her ideas/ stories.. its the truth..
**So what your saying is that we should all follow the US laws ?? **
Why r u confusing urself…what we are discussing is an issue in Islam not the US laws…Asra Nomani can live whereever she wants…for all i care she can live in the White house or she can shift to Mars… means nothing to me or anyone else i am sure.
How well do u know US laws? As far as my limited knowledge tells me more then 20 states have some form of punishment against adultery, where it is considered to be a crime.
Some punishments are as follows:
2 year prison sentence… in some states its 3 and even 5 years prison
sentence
Wife/Husband holds property of wife/husband who commits adultery for rest of
her life
Some kind of fine is charged
These are just some punishments in different states that i know of…If these laws have changed please do let me know so i can correct myself.
People will always be around who want to somehow bend islam to their liking.. they do something wrong themselves, then they want it justified islamically. Best thing to do is to ignore such blithering idiots. If it makes a difference, and if one has knowledge, a solid refutation quoting the specific sources of Quran/Ahadith should be made so that not everyone is fooled by these people.
1- Who here is inciting voilence?
2- Who here is saying they want to go against the laws of USA?
3- How does ‘not liking USA’ fall into the picture?
If Isra Nomani thinks she can do some dumb little research, and make it available wherever, then people who think its wrong will likely answer in a rebuttal.. are you saying we should accept what she’s saying and doing otherwise would be ‘inciting voilence’???
What is being discussed, which you’re unable to grasp however, is that adultery is punishable in ISLAM. No one wants to make it a part of USA laws, thanks. But if any person claims that it is not punishable, then they are rejecting part of the Quran, and the Quran specifically warns us against ‘accepting part of it and rejecting part of it’.
Next up- realize that the punishments being talked about are awarded by an Islamic government. People like you and me can not go around handing over punishments.
So to state it again: the question is, what is the punishment of adultery in Islam, and the answer is clearcut.. the question is NOT ‘what is the punishment of adultery in USA… should the USA adopt this punishment.. can i go arond killing people’ waghaira waghaira..
