well dad’s hanafi cuz he is paki…but mom is shafi…i think i kinda mixed it all up. but someone told me that i have to just pick one…does it matter?

i heard this too.......

usually, its better to follow someone in entirity rather than following many in bits and peices...

its a well known fact that most of the sunnies are hanafi ...... but choice is yours :)

ever been to lebanon?? if yes, how is the place??

my mom is shafi but she is sunni. im sunni..my entire family on both sides are.

i dind’t ask this … i know u are sunni

coz sunni have four imams .. in which imam abu hanifa is considerd the best.. ofcourse, i am not saying others are not good but i am just pointing to the fact that most sunni follow imam abu hanifa…

u asked if its matter… i think it does matter … but i am not an authority … may be u can follow both at the same time

how is lebanon??

actually u are incorrect…alll 4 madhabs are said to be correct…u can ask any scholar that. There are just some differences in opinions. Also most sunni’s do not follow the hanafi school of thought…most hanafi’s are indian and pakis…shafi’s usually are arabs, and maliki’s are usually in africa…so on and so forth. these imams taught in different parts of the world which is how these madhabs came about. Neither or them are right nor wrong. ONLY sunni’s follow the 4 madhabs. so i dont get what u mean by saying sunni’s mostly follow hanafi when sunni’s follow ALL of them based on what part of the world they are from. Perhaps i need clarification.
