Drought in the soul, barren is the heart,
Seeking forgiveness from imaginary friends,
Taste of sand upon the parched tongue,
Words unreaching, from mouths that never spake,
The eyes are dry, not seeing any face,
Missing those loved ones, who were never there,
Longing for something, that will never arrive,
Pain of losing, which was never mine,
This desert so calm, so quiet, so plain,
Gives me the hope, of cold soothing rain,
The twilight casts shadows, onto my skin,
Memories burned on me, till I turn to dust…
