What good is having 400+300 (For 2 Ws) Wickets in Test Cricket When Pakistan has not been able to win a Single Test Series in Last 50 years against WI in WI ? India did win the TEST in which he scored a Century - After that we saw couple of bad decisions against him (Dont challenge me on that, I can bring you the reports from Cricinfo), Also India did win the One-day series against WI and Sachin was there in both the matches we won.

but all the players who are nominated should contribute some part to their team's winning, which Tendulkur does very rarely, Hayden isn't the main reason Australia wins but because he is a huge contributor.

Australia were winning Without Hayden (Remember their 16 consecutive wins ? most of them were without Hayden).

About Sachin not scoring when Needed - You should really check the Last test Which India lost against WI - Sachin was the highest scorer, Same against SA - Sachin Scored 155 in a losing cause.

Once Again my friend - Cricket is a Team Game and to win at least 50% of the team has to perform. And Sachin is a Human Being too and far from perfect.

WOW!
I didn't know Wasim and Waqar are playing cricket for 50 years!
That is a huge accomplishment.
Seriously, most of the matches the 2 Ws have played, they have occaisionally won matches for their team, take the ausie series for example, wasim came out on top when it mattered in the last 2 matches with his great bowling and batting.
Same goes for Waqar, most of the time where their team needed him he was there with his great bowling, I'm not saying he won all his matches for his team because its not a one man job.
Old Trafford, where Pakistan were on verge of loosing that test along with the series he came back with a deadily spell which let the english chaddis on fire.

And you got Tendulkur here, lets take the example of the current Natwest series.

First match India required a huge target by England, every Indian player was in pressure including tendulkur, what happens? he gets out on 1.
Next match against Srilanka where India needed 203 runs to win, not a big target especially if there is no deadly bowler like Murali on the other side, what does Tendulkur do? he plays a good knock.
Even if he had not scored 49, India could have easily won especially the performance from Yuvraj.
Overall my point is that Tendulkur can't handle big pressure like other players in the team, I have no right to call him a bad player because he is simply the best but i think he is very over rated and many credit goes out to him the one he does not deserve.

I found this great article from an Indian on cricketnext.com about Tendulkur, eventhough this article doesn’t throughly talk about my point, but it has one paragraph which proves exactly what am I talking about.

The Sachin Tendulkar Factor

OK lads, enough about Tendulkar, lets get back to the topic of the awards.

Not the most deserved winner but he earned it as well.

Congrats to Gilly !!! Well Deserved !!!
