Inspire

Re: Inspire

West saw much bigger wars, first and second world wars etc. We studied different cultures and basically the difference is group culture and individualistic culture. The other difference is hierarchical vs meritocracy culture. Eg people there can have the worst possible humans as parents, they can be rishwat khoor, baiymaan, milaawati etc. They could be physically and emotionally and psychologically be abusing children , destroying their lives with negativity and still be respected as saints. Here people have to prove themselves worthy of respect. Here respect does not come from birth but by actions. Aristotle said you are what you do.
The other difference is linear vs nonlinear thinking. I have seen over and over on this forum people referring to good families, khandaans etc and here no one ever references families. There are people who dont know who their fathers are and ascended to the top of the world, like Bill Clinton had not met the biological parents.
